Sparing Salma can still complete Deadly Delights with a succubus trophy, but the documented kill route supplies her mutagen. Save before the conversation if that crafting ingredient matters. A missing mutagen after sparing her is a choice consequence, not automatically a missing-trophy bug.
Reach the succubus
Take the Novigrad guard contract near the Golden Sturgeon, speak to the guard and medic, and inspect the alley with Witcher Senses. Follow the hoofprints toward the brothel. The legacy route offers persuasion for information; otherwise, investigate the perfume bottle and follow its scent.
Without the direct key route, enter the neighboring house, climb to its roof and use the scaffolding to reach the open window. Repeatedly checking the locked front door does not replace that entrance.
Choose the outcome before advancing
| Choice | Important distinction |
|---|---|
| Order Salma to leave | Receives a trophy for the contract; no kill-drop mutagen |
| Fight Salma | Documented loot includes the succubus mutagen and trophy |
Check the actual received item, then return to the guard to finish the payment step. Trophy ownership and crafting-material ownership are different checks; neither should be inferred solely from the completed-quest label.
If you need the other result
Use a save before the decision and continue from that branch. A save after sparing Salma does not let you replay the earlier fight without another checkpoint. This page does not guarantee another current mutagen source or a supported 5.x item-spawn command.
For an actual contract trophy absent from the intended loot window, compare the separate missing-trophy symptom guide rather than treating every spared-monster reward as the same problem.
