A Midnight Clear follows the wedding in Dead Man’s Party. Find a gift for Shani, talk to her, and choose whether to continue the romantic evening. The legacy walkthrough offers rowan, chamomile, mead and brandy; rowan is a straightforward flower option if you want to avoid the alcohol variation.
Pick a gift at the wedding
Use the objective area to find a gift rather than leaving to shop elsewhere. The recorded walkthrough does not make one gift a universal success requirement, but alcohol changes the scene and can lead to an unpleasant reaction. Keep a save before handing over the gift if you want to see the alternatives.
| Gift type | What to consider |
|---|---|
| Rowan or chamomile | Flower options in the wedding area |
| Mead or brandy | Alcohol alternatives with a different scene variation |
Continue or finish the evening
After the kiss, the historical dialogue offers a choice about continuing the evening or going back. Choose the continuation if you want the romantic scene. Ending the evening is a valid story choice; it is not a technical failure that requires reinstalling or repairing the game.
When replaying, start from before the relevant dialogue. A save written after the choice only preserves its result. Separate branch slots also make it easier to return to your main character’s campaign without replacing its later progress.
Does this replace Triss or Yennefer?
The cited romance guide treats Shani as an expansion romance rather than the base game’s main relationship commitment. Do not apply the Triss/Yennefer dual-commitment consequence to every optional romance scene. For those main checkpoints, read Triss at the docks and Yennefer after the djinn. This page does not include or embed explicit scene footage.
