The Witcher 3 Remastered PC requirements: SSD, Windows and ray tracing

Compare the official six PC tiers, the SSD and Windows 11 requirements, and the upscaling/frame-generation conditions behind the published FPS targets.

Use the updated requirements

Remastered’s published requirements specify 64-bit Windows 11 and an SSD. The table lists 60 GB storage, with 95 GB required on Epic. These are updated requirements, not the original 2015 minimum.

Why the FPS numbers need context

The RT tiers were measured with upscaling set to Auto; the Path Tracing tier also used frame generation. Other configurations used native resolution. Scene and configuration changes can affect the result. Compare a complete tier, not one GPU model stripped of those conditions.

Windows 10 may still run the game, but CDPR no longer officially develops or tests for it. “Unsupported” does not mean every installation instantly stops launching.

Before changing hardware or versions

  1. Compare your CPU, GPU, memory, OS and available SSD storage with the full official table.
  2. Choose a target resolution and preset you actually want to use.
  3. Record enabled upscaling, ray tracing and frame generation before measuring a scene.
  4. If performance changed at launch, isolate HairWorks as a separate comparison. Consider older versions only with preserved compatible saves.
