Follow Damien's trail for the playroom and fairy-tale route; visit Orianna for the orphanage route toward the Unseen Elder. Keep a save before this late Blood and Wine decision. Finding either contact is not the same as completing the expansion's ending requirements.
Find Damien and open the playroom
- Go to the last location of Damien and his men; defeat the vampire and inspect the soldiers and footprints.
- Follow the trail east toward the market and surviving men in the bank.
- Talk to Damien, then use the nearby raven to inform Regis.
- Return to the palace playroom; Regis opens it.
- Read the journal entries. Find the Golden Key behind a painting, unlock the wardrobe and inspect the book to proceed into Beyond Hill and Dale.
Recognize the other branch
Orianna at her estate requests help with her orphanage in exchange for information about the Unseen Elder. Reaching the orphanage completes this quest into Blood Simple. This page covers that branch's entry, not the entire later lair walkthrough.
The legacy guide notes that unfinished The Warble of a Smitten Knight fails during this attack. Keep the earlier campaign save if you still want to complete that side quest.
Choose with the later outcome in mind
For the sisters' reconciliation, continue with the separate Anna Henrietta and Syanna ending guide. The journal and fairy-tale entry are prerequisites along a longer route; unlocking the wardrobe alone does not ensure both survive.
If the playroom cannot be entered, first check whether you completed Damien's conversation and informed Regis. For another ending, replay the pre-branch save rather than treating these routes as interchangeable after later commitments. Current branch-switch exploits and quest-fact commands are not verified.
