High Stakes Gwent: entry, opponents and missable cards

Bring 1,000 crowns and a strong deck to the Passiflora; save before entry because losing matches can cost the tournament cards.

High Stakes requires 1,000 crowns and a strong deck at Novigrad’s Passiflora. Save before entering: the legacy tournament does not let you freely leave once it begins. Losing a match can let the quest continue while still costing you its rare card reward.

Prepare before paying

Play ordinary opponents first and use the beginner rules to practise conserving cards across rounds. A deck that wins a casual match once is not proof it will survive a multi-opponent tournament. Keep a separate pre-entry save if card collection matters to you.

The legacy match order

Watch the opponent’s passed state and your card advantage rather than automatically spending your best cards in round one. If a match is lost, decide immediately whether to continue the story or replay for the collectible reward. Quest completion and full card collection are different goals.

Continue the stolen-prize investigation

The quest continues beyond the tournament with the missing prize. Follow Sasha, inspect the upstairs evidence, then use Witcher Senses to follow the street clues toward the warehouse. The documented route enters via the rear scaffolding and window.

For other one-time opportunities, read the missable-card guide. This page uses the original tournament route and does not assert that Remastered added a universal buyback for every lost tournament card.
