The Witcher 3 Master Armorers: unlock Yoana and find Undvik tools

Bring the Undvik smithing tools and archgriffin acid to Yoana, complete the armor test, and unlock the craftsman used for Remastered armor Reforge.

Finish the whole unlock

Master Armorers begins with Fergus at Crow’s Perch, but Yoana is the craftsman you unlock. Bringing back the tools is only part of the quest; you still need her acid objective and armor test.

Quest spoilers. The detailed route comes from legacy walkthroughs. Remastered’s official notes confirm Yoana’s Reforge role, not our replay of every objective.

Get the smithing tools

  1. At Crow’s Perch, ask Fergus about mastercrafted armor and follow Yoana’s request.
  2. Travel to Undvik in Skellige. Locate the Clan Tordarroch forge and the High-Quality Smithing Tools in the ice-troll cave area.
  3. Return the tools to Crow’s Perch and continue the conversation. Do not stop after delivering them.

The route spans Velen and Skellige. Keep the quest tracked so a marker in another region is not mistaken for a missing local object. Prepare for the fights instead of treating possession of a map marker as proof your character is ready.

Get the acid and accept the test

Continue Yoana’s acid request, collect The Griffin from the Highlands contract from the Crow’s Perch board, and obtain the archgriffin’s acid gland. Return it to Yoana. During the armor comparison, agree to wear her armor for the test; the older walkthrough warns that refusing fails the quest.

After the sequence, return after a day for the follow-up armor. Check the completed quest and Yoana’s crafting dialogue as the unlock result.

Crafting and Reforge are separate tabs

Use the unlocked service appropriate to your task. Crafting needs the correct diagram and materials; Reforge changes appearance. If a diagram is absent, check its exact school and tier before assuming Yoana is still locked. For a missing contract trophy, use the trophy diagnosis; this route does not guarantee a new-build loot bug is repaired.
