Shock Therapy: the three ways to make Egill speak

Use the hornets, fire and hanging pots when Egill is performing the matching activity, then return for the Iorveth card.

Match each disturbance to Egill’s current activity. Use Aard on the hornets while he meditates, extinguish the fire while he warms his hands, and use Aard on the hanging pots while he sleeps. Repeating one disturbance is not the same as completing all three.

Find the druid quest

Shock Therapy is in the Gedyneith area of Ard Skellig. Speak to the quest-giving druid, then locate Egill nearby. Save before experimenting if you want a clean checkpoint for the puzzle.

If nothing changes

Wait until he reaches the matching activity before trying its interaction again. Watch his animation and response rather than assuming a single action has completed several stages. Write down which of the three has already produced a reaction; that avoids cycling through the same completed step.

The legacy walkthrough suggests talking to Egill when his activity seems stuck. Treat that as a historical quest tip, not a confirmed Remastered bug fix. If he still does not move, preserve the original save and record the activity and build before testing a pre-quest checkpoint.

Collect the reward

After the full sequence, return to the first druid for the Iorveth Gwent card. Getting Egill to react once and actually collecting the reward are separate steps. If your goal is card collection, check the received card before moving on to another region.

See the collection guide for other opportunities, and High Stakes for the tournament’s more restrictive entry checkpoint.
