Dandelion prefers theatrical decor, but the historical route does not make the boudoir choice a quest failure. The missing-placard problem is a separate Rautlec decision later in Cabaret.
Stage the performance safely
After A Poet Under Pressure, meet Dandelion at the Rosemary and Thyme. Borrow the blunt sword from Irina and meet him outside Sophronia's home at night. Play the staged bandit and let him win for his intended performance; winning yourself still allows the quest to continue.
Re-equip your real steel sword afterward. Keeping the prop equipped can create a combat problem unrelated to Cabaret's choices.
Choose decor and find Polly
Return in the morning to Priscilla and the decorators. Choose theatrical if you want Dandelion's preference; handing the decision to Priscilla lets her choose. Visit Polly's house, use Witcher Senses to find the spare key in a bucket, and resolve Hubio's confrontation through the available explanation or boxing route.
Find Rautlec and resolve his debt
After visiting the painter's house, find Rautlec at the Vegelbud racetrack. Paying his debt or winning his race secures the placards; ignoring the debt does not. Return to Dandelion to finish either way, then continue into Carnal Sins.
Decide whether the extra placards matter before spending or racing, and preserve a checkpoint if you want another outcome. Quest completion alone does not prove they were delivered. If you cannot progress, record whether the active objective concerns Polly, the painter or the final return; those are different checkpoints. This guide does not promise unchanged reward values or a 5.x quest-state repair.
